    Hello all,

With much pleasure the International Society for Business and Industrial Statistics* (ISBIS) invites you all to attend on April 11, 2025, at 16:00-17:00 CEST  a WEBINAR on

Deep Thinking in Reliability and Risk Analysis: A Tribute to Nozer D. Singpurwalla

    The invited speakers are

Prof. Refik Soyer, George Washington University, Washington, DC. USA

Prof. Fabio Spizzichino, University "La Sapienza", Rome, Italy

Abstract: In this talk, we give an overview of Nozer D. Singpurwalla's work,  his contributions to reliability and risk analysis and to Bayesian statistics. Rather than presenting a chronological review of Nozer's work, emphasis will be given to those areas of his research which better reflect Nozer's scientific personality, his research interests and important contributions. In doing so, we discuss examples of foundational aspects of Nozer's work as well as his contributions in modeling dependence and stochastic processes, applications of decision theory in reliability including adversarial aspects, life testing and software reliability.

To register your free seat at this event, please go to the webinar's page provided by ISI and ISBIS: https://isi-web.org/courses-webinars-workshops?type=2&field_type_courses=All

(Materials and video registration will be shared after the webinar with all the participants who will send us a request at isbisnews@gmail.com and in cc matilde.bini@unier.it, including those who cannot make that time).

     Kind Regards,

THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE & COUNCIL MEMBERS
