1. To be fruitful witnesses of the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ among our community of fellow statisticians and other co-workers; to articulate the relevence of the Christian faith and worldview within this community.

2. To provide a community of Christ followers in which our members genuinely love and encourage one another in personal holiness, as well as our corporate Christian commitments and duties.  

3. To pursue the unity of the body of Christ, whose members  reflect a God-ordained diversity of backgrounds, roles, functions, talents, and gifts.

4. To seek opportunities to assist the local and global church of Jesus Christ to fulfill its mission through acts of service related to the skills, gifts, and capabilities of its members.

5. To serve and honor one another in practical ways.

6. To encourage members to explore the integration of their statistical work and practice into their Christian faith, and vice versa.

Everyone – believer, seeker, or skeptic – is welcome to attend ICS meetings at the Joint Statistical Meetings. However, as a group designed to reflect the glory and preeminence of Jesus Christ, we adhere to the following: 

1. God is the creator and faithful sustainer of His creation. (Gen. 1:1; John 1:3; Col. 1:16)

2. Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man, and through His atonement is the only mediator between God and man. (John 14:6; Heb. 9:14-15)

3. The Holy Spirit indwells all Christians, revealing and teaching them all truths related to Jesus Christ, His return, and the life of the Christian. (John 3:5-8, 14:15-18; 16:7-15; Acts 15:8; Rom. 8; I Cor. 2:10-16, 6:19)

4. The Bible (both Old and New Testaments) is the Word of God, the Christian’s authoritative guide for faith and conduct. (2 Tim. 3:16-17; 2 Pet. 1:20-21)
