Student Presentations & Awards
The 2026 ASA AL–MS Chapter Annual Conference will feature junior faculty/scholar and student research presentations across a broad range of statistical areas, including statistical modeling, stochastic processes, data analysis, and interdisciplinary applications.
Presenters should submit a title and abstract (≤ 300 words) via email to Dr. Elvan Ceyhan (ezc0066@auburn.edu) by midnight (CT), March 7, 2026. Please include "2026 AL–MS Chapter Abstract Submission" in the subject line. PDF format is preferred.
All accepted submissions (student and junior faculty) will be included in the conference poster session by default. Based on review and program constraints, up to six students and up to four junior faculty/scholar will be selected for 15-minute oral presentations (plus Q&A). Authors selected for oral presentation will be notified in advance. All decisions will be communicated no later than March 12, 2026.
Awards will be granted for outstanding oral and poster presentations (for students), with up to three recipients in each category.
Oral Presentation Logistics
Time: 1:00–3:00 PM
Duration: 20 minutes total (including Q&A)
Room: Oak B, Oxford Conference Center
Slides: PDF or PowerPoint (PPT)
Technical Setup: Computer, projector, microphones, and pointer provided
Submission: Email presentation (PDF preferred) to ezc0066@auburn.edu and mlongla@olemiss.edu by March 20.
Bring a USB backup. Personal laptops are not required.
Internet: eduroam and guest Wi-Fi available onsite.
Travel & Accommodation
If hotel accommodation is needed, we recommend making reservations early, as local availability may be limited due to other events. Please consult the conference website or contact the organizers for recommendations.

Poster Presentation Logistics
Session Time: 8:30–9:20 AM
Location: Adjacent to Oak B, Oxford Conference Center
Formal Viewing: 50 minutes (posters may remain until 4:00 PM)
Poster Sizes:
- 36" x 24" (portrait)
- 36" x 48" (landscape)
Printing: Bring a pre-printed poster (any standard format).
Mounting: Easels and mounting materials provided.
Setup: Begins at 8:30 AM (early arrival at 8:15 AM permitted)
Removal: By 4:00 PM
Ensure readability with appropriate font size, layout, and color contrast. QR codes and supplementary materials are welcome.
