American Statistical Association


Founded in Spring 2018, the purpose of the UNLV ASA chapter is to 
​

  • Unite and inform UNLV undergraduate and graduate students about professional and academic opportunities in the field of statistics
  • Provide opportunities for professional and career development outside of the traditional classroom setting
  • Network with local government, organizations, and businesses to create learning opportunities and benefit the local community
  • Conduct statistical research and apply analytics to various disciplines and industries


Undergraduate and graduate students from all majors and programs are encouraged to join. Please check our website often for events, news, and information.  

As a professional student organization, the UNLV Chapter of the American Statistical Association works in collaboration with the UNLV Department of Mathematical Sciences and the American Statistical Association.

Announcements

We are currently planning on how the UNLV ASA chapter can collaborate with the UNLV College of Hospitality in order to generate a hospitality analytics program for UNLV students.

Our Events

With the 2018 Fall semester quickly approaching, we hope to expand our membership to include more faculty and students within our UNLV ASA community. Please check back soon for information on our first meeting.
