Call for Presentations: 8th International Symposium on Biopharmaceutical Statistics

The 8th International Symposium on Biopharmaceutical Statistics (ISBS) will take place from October 13–16, 2026 at the Novotel Madrid Center in Madrid, Spain.

The Symposium is currently accepting submissions for individual contributed presentations through June 1st, 2026. This event provides an excellent opportunity for students, researchers, and professionals to engage with the international biopharmaceutical statistics community.

Explore Careers in Biopharma with the ASA Biopharmaceutical Section

Students and early-career statisticians are invited to attend an ASA Biopharmaceutical Section webinar focused on careers, networking, and professional development in the biopharmaceutical industry.

The webinar, “Exploring Biopharma Careers and Community with ASA BIOP”, will take place on May 28th, 2026 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM EDT.

The session will feature statisticians and leaders from Eli Lilly, AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Amgen, IQVIA, Mayo Clinic, Takeda, and AbbVie. Topics will include biopharmaceutical statistics careers, clinical and nonclinical research pathways, mentorship, internships, fellowships, and ASA BIOP student resources.

New President of the ASA Harvard University Student Chapter

Divya Bhandari

Divya Bhandari has been appointed as the new President of the ASA Harvard University Student Chapter.

Divya is a population health scientist, epidemiologist and current PhD Candidate in Population Health Sciences at Harvard University whose work focuses on global health, epidemiology, quantitative modeling, and interdisciplinary public health research.

Under her leadership, the chapter aims to strengthen student engagement, promote collaboration across disciplines, and expand opportunities for professional development, mentorship, networking, and statistical learning within the Harvard community.
