Chapter Bylaws
The ASA Harvard University Student Chapter operates to promote statistical education, professional development, interdisciplinary collaboration, and student engagement within the Harvard community.
Article I — Name
The name of this organization shall be the ASA Harvard University Student Chapter, affiliated with the American Statistical Association (ASA).
Article II — Mission
The mission of the chapter is to:
- Promote statistical and quantitative learning
- Support professional and academic development
- Encourage interdisciplinary collaboration
- Provide networking opportunities for students and researchers
- Foster an inclusive and supportive academic community
Article III — Membership
Membership is open to students, trainees, researchers, faculty, and affiliates interested in statistics, biostatistics, data science, public health, or related quantitative disciplines.
Article IV — Officers
The chapter leadership may include:
- President
- Vice President
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Additional officers as needed
Officers are responsible for coordinating chapter activities, events, communications, and organizational operations.
Article V — Meetings and Activities
The chapter may organize seminars, workshops, networking events, speaker sessions, educational programs, and collaborative initiatives throughout the academic year.
Article VI — Amendments
These bylaws may be amended as necessary by chapter leadership to support the mission and growth of the organization.
