Born into a world with increasingly large datasets, data science combined statistical methods with the tools of computer science to analyze large amounts of data. For virtually all of their brief history, data scientists have been in high demand, and compensated well. They often marketed themselves as "coding wizards" who could wrangle actionable insights from large amounts of data.
Roger and Willis posit that the arrival of generative AI has dramatically altered the landscape. In the age of AI, everyone can use it to generate code, and therefore data scientists must pivot their skillset. In this webinar, they will argue that developing a deep understanding of data quality, including being able to understand the limitations of a given data set relative to the problem at hand, can provide a competitive edge.
