Do you have a student who is excited about science and who would like to engage in a summer project? All K-12 students are invited to participate in a Virtual Science Fair, presented by ASA GivesBack. Students may work independently or with a team of 2-3 participants to investigate an interesting topic and submit a video highlighting their research process and results. There are three grade categories: K-4, 5-8, and 9-12. The science fair is free to enter, and winners are awarded up to $50 in gift cards. Registration is due on April 30, 2026, and project submission is due June 30, 2026.
The main objective of the fair is to help students: ask questions (form a hypothesis), create experiments to test the hypothesis, organize the data and draw conclusions followed by presenting the data in poster or video format. Students can look for research ideas from their everyday life and can collect data based on their research questions.
