The Office of Management and Budget recently proposed a major new regulation called the "Trust Regulation": Notice of Proposed Rulemaking on the Fundamental Responsibilities of Statistical Agencies and Units. it proposes numerous provisions to promote public trust in the recognized Federal statistical agencies and units that produce Federal statistics.
