The 6th New England Rare Disease Statistics (NERDS) Workshop is scheduled for October 12-13, 2023, at Hilton Meadowlands in the New York Metropolitan Area. This year's workshop theme is: Accelerating Rare Disease Drug Development through Novel Endpoint, RWE, and Innovation.
Secure your spot today by registering at https://nerds.nestat.org/index.html - space is limited!
Over the past two decades, the landscape of rare disease drug development has grown significantly. This is due to increased public awareness, favorable changes in drug regulation, advancements in cellular/molecular biology and genetics, innovative trial designs, substantial capital investment, and the availability of seasoned scientific talent. As a result, regulators, academics, and industry statisticians are working together to bring these orphan drugs to patients, tackling unique technical challenges. To address the unmet need in this space, the New England Statistical Society (NESS, https://nestat.org/) initiated the unique NERDS Workshop. This platform allows statisticians involved in rare disease drug development to collaborate, share experiences, exchange ideas, and expand their network.
For any queries, please contact program co-chairs Kun Chen (kun.chen@uconn.edu) and Richard Zhang (Richard.Zhang@pfizer.com).
