  • 1.  Statistical Methods for Rare Cancer Studies

    Posted 02-26-2025 10:50

    Hi Friends:

I am working on a cancer study, where N is small (~100), because the population of people who have the cancer is small.

IE, this is not a small sample from a large population.

Does anyone have suggestions for articles, books, or other references for statistical methods for rare cancers or other studies, in which the study population is small?

    Hi Brandy,

Here are some resources on rare diseases (not specific to rare cancers though)

    Past projects

Recent advances in methodology for clinical trials in small populations: the InSPiRe project - Orphanet Journal of Rare Diseases

Lessons learned from IDeAl - 33 recommendations from the IDeAl-net about design and analysis of small population clinical trials - Orphanet Journal of Rare Diseases

Applicability and added value of novel methods to improve drug development in rare diseases - Orphanet Journal of Rare Diseases

    Ongoing projects

    Home - INVENTS-HE

    About ERAMET - ERAMET Project

    Best wishes
