STATGEN 2025 Conference - Call for Invited Session Proposals

The American Statistical Association (ASA) Section on Statistics in Genomics and Genetics (SSGG) is planning its second annual section conference. The STATGEN 2025 conference will be held from Wednesday, May 21 to Friday, May 23, 2025, in Minneapolis, MN.

Please submit your ideas for invited session topics by November 15, 2024, using the following form: STATGEN 2025 Session Proposal Form.

For more information about the conference, please visit the official website: STATGEN 2025 Conference Website.

We welcome session proposals that highlight cutting-edge advances in genetic and genomic data and technologies, and encourage the inclusion of speakers who conduct impactful research but do not frequently attend statistics conferences.

Each invited session can include either:

    • 4 speakers, or
    • 3 speakers plus 1 discussant.

Initial submissions should include the following information:

    • Session title
    • Description/motivation of the session
    • Session chair
    • Speaker names, affiliations, and emails
    • Titles of each talk

SSGG believes that diverse perspectives and representative speakers enhance the quality of sessions and the conference overall. We encourage session organizers to consider diversity and representation in speakers, including research focus, career stage, industry/government/academia, gender, and race/ethnicity. Topics across applied, theoretical, bioethics, or data privacy areas related to genetics and genomics are welcome.

    Important Dates:

    • Submission deadline: November 15, 2024
    • Notification of acceptance: December 15, 2024 (Abstracts and registration will be required afterward.)
