    Dear colleagues,
I am delighted to inform you that the 2023 Stan conference will be held on June 20-23 at Washington University in St Louis:

As you may already know, Stan is a probabilistic programming language that implements Bayesian statistical inference via Markov Chain Monte Carlo,  variational approximation, and (optionally penalized) maximum likelihood estimation via optimization. It is currently used by tens of thousands of scientists, engineers, and other researchers across fields as diverse as ecology, pharmacometrics, physics, political science, finance and econometrics, professional sports, real estate, publishing, recommender systems, and educational testing.
The conference will host speakers and experts from both academia and industry and feature talks, sessions, posters and short courses on Bayesian statistics and Stan across different disciplines.
On behalf of Washington University and Stan, I invite you to participate and attend the conference. Please encourage your colleagues, students and post-docs to do the same. We are looking for both thematic sessions and individual talk proposals, and posters. The conference will include two days of tutorials/short courses with topics ranging from introductory to advanced levels and four plenary talks by Bob Carpenter (Flatiron institute), John Kruschke (Indiana University), Mariel Finucane (Mathematica Policy Research), and Siddhartha Chib (Washington University in St. Louis).
The deadline for proposals for thematic sessions and contributed talks is April 30. You will find registration and other details on the conference website:

Thanks to our sponsors we also have scholarships to cover lodging & registration! See details here
