I wanted to pass along a few updates and a couple reminders about the Connecticut Sports Analytics Symposium (CSAS, formerly UCSAS) on April 11-12, 2025 at Yale University in New Haven, CT.

Registration. Registration for the 2025 Connecticut Sports Analytics Symposium is open! Please see our Registration Page for details. You will have the option to register for the workshops, the conference, or both. Note that you can edit your workshop preferences or make other registration updates at any time by returning to the registration page and logging in with your email and password. Please contact Emily Hau (emily.hau@yale.edu) if you have any questions about registration.
Food. Registration for the conference Saturday includes continental breakfast, hot lunch, and a post-conference reception with heavy hors d'oeuvres and beverages, as well as snacks and drinks throughout the day. Registration for the workshops on Friday includes snacks and drinks throughout the afternoon.
Poster session. If you are interested in giving a poster presentation on your work in sports analytics at CSAS, please consider submitting an abstract. There is an option to do this as part of the registration process. Please see our Registration Page for details. The deadline for posters is March 23. The poster session is open to anyone and open to projects involving any sport. There will be a Student Poster Competition with prizes for the high school/undergraduate division and the graduate student division winners. This is distinct from the data challenge. There will be separate winners for the data challenge and the student poster competition. Please contact Greg Matthews (gjm112@gmail.com) if you have any questions about abstract submission.

Data Challenge. Thanks to everyone who participated in this year's paper competition! Teams showed off their statistical expertise by incorporating new bat speed and swing length metrics into creative research questions. We are excited to showcase the insightful contributions and hark work of our finalists:
