The Department of Experimental Statistics at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge is excited to announce admissions for our new PhD program in Statistics. This program is open to candidates with an MS in statistics or related fields.
Our PhD program equips students with advanced skills and knowledge to excel in business, industry, and academia. A key objective is to develop a market-ready workforce of statisticians poised to contribute to the economic development of the country. Students will engage in research that addresses current challenges in applied statistics, supported by interdisciplinary collaborations across LSU.
The comprehensive curriculum blends rigorous training in statistical theory, practical computing skills, and real-world statistical research applications. Graduate assistantships are available on a competitive basis, with a stipend of $30,667 for a 12-month full-time assistantship (20 hours per week).
