Abstract: Single-cell and spatial RNA sequencing technologies have enabled in-depth analysis of intercellular heterogeneity in various diseases. However, its full potential for precision medicine has yet to be reached. Towards this, we have developed a series of computational methods to predict purposeful drugs at individual patient level, using single-cell (tool: ASGARD) or spatial transcriptomics data (tool: STDrug). Using a variety of disease datasets spanning cancers to COVID-19, as well as a variety of validation approaches (literature, real-world EHR and cell line experiments), we demonstrate the huge potential of these tools to transform clinical treatment regime. ASGARD is free for research use at https://github.com/lanagarmire/ASGARD.
