The Webinar Committee of the International Indian Statistical Association (lISA) proudly presents a career panel on "Empowering Early-career Women in Statistics and Data Science: Breaking Barriers and Building Futures".
10/23/2024 | 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM (Eastern) / 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM (Pacific)
Promoting diversity and inclusion in statistics and data science is crucial for fostering innovation and broadening perspectives. However, early-career women often face unique challenges that limit their participation in these fields.
Our panelists, who represent diverse backgrounds and various career stages in academia, industry, and government, will share their personal journeys and discuss how they overcame obstacles related to gender and cultural barriers. The session will begin with brief introductions from each panelist, followed by a Q&A session.
This panel discussion is especially valuable for senior students, postdocs, and early-career professionals interested in pursuing careers in academia, industry, or government, where overcoming barriers is often a critical part of success. It will also benefit recent graduates exploring different career paths. All are welcome to attend!
