We invite renowned journal editors to share their insights to understand these changes and their impact on the future of statistics, publishing, and career development.

     

    About the Panelists

     

    Michele Guindani is a Professor in the Department of Biostatistics at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He served as Editor-in-Chief of the journal "Bayesian Analysis" from 2019 to 2021. He is a founding co-Editor of the new ASA journal on "Statistics and Data Science in Imaging". He is also an Associate Editor for Biometrics, Econometrics and Statistics, and the Journal of the American Statistical Association, Theory and Methods. He also serves as one of the Chief Statistical Advisor for Nature Medicine.

     

    Lexin Li is a Professor of Biostatistics at the Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology, and Helen Wills Neuroscience Institute, of the University of California, Berkeley.  He is a Fellow of the American Statistical Association (ASA), a Fellow of the Institute of Mathematical Statistics (IMS), and an Elected Member of the International Statistical Institute (ISI). He is the Editor-in-Chief of the Annals of Applied Statistics for 2025-27.

     

    Hans-Georg Müller is Professor of Statistics at UC Davis. He works on theory, methods and applications of statistics with an emphasis in nonparametric statistics, functional and longitudinal data analysis and the analysis of data in geodesic spaces. He serves as co-editor of the Annals of Statistics 2025-2027.

     

    Judy Huixia Wang is Professor and Chair in the Department of Statistics at the George Washington University. She is an elected Fellow of the ASA and IMS, and an elected member of the ISI. She currently serves as a co-Editor for Statistica Sinica and as an Associate Editor for the Journal of the American Statistical Association.
