Dear Colleagues:
I hope this message finds you well.
As I briefly outlined in my February Amstat News President's Corner, we recruited 33 statisticians specializing in oncology, metabolic diseases, and infectious diseases to serve as Nature Medicine's first official statistical advisory board. I am delighted to announce the program is expanding to include neurology & psychiatry, and we are now accepting applications for statistical advisory board (SAB) members in these areas.
Each SAB member will serve for one year (with the possibility of renewal) and be responsible for reviewing 6-7 manuscripts annually. This may include expedited ('fast track') reviews at the member's discretion. Please note that peer review does not include financial compensation.
Applicants must be ASA members and have a minimum of five years of experience in medicine and public health science in the academic sector.
We will begin reviewing applications on March 15, 2025, and continue until the cohort is filled.
