The Caucus for Women in Statistics and Data Science (CWS) has two travel awards for the Joint Statistical Meetings in 2024. The application deadline is May 31, 2024 and full details can be found on https://cwstat.org/cws-travel-awards-2/. The Lee Travel Award ($500) and the Do-Bui Travel Award ($500 domestic, $1000 international) provide reimbursement for travel expenses. These will be awarded to CWS members who are early-career professionals or PhD students in statistics or a related field. Funds must be used for travel to JSM and the winners must have submitted an abstract to JSM. CWS Membership is free for students and there is a low-cost version available for first-time members. Membership is open to everyone! For the purpose of these awards, we define "early-career" as someone with 5 or fewer years of professional experience.

A one-page letter of interest, including a citation of possible funding from other sources;

Up to two-page description of the research to be presented at the conference;

Letter of support from one career mentor or academic advisor.
