Colleagues,
A multidisciplinary task force sponsored by the American Statistical Association (ASA), in collaboration with ACM, ADSA, INFORMS, MAA, and SIAM, is developing a report to extend the ACM Computing Competencies for Undergraduate Data Science Curricula.
Join us for a virtual Town Hall where task force members Maureen Doyle, Paul Leidig, Mine Çetinkaya-Rundel, and Jun Yan will present the report's proposed framework and outline the recommended knowledge units. Participants will have the opportunity to provide feedback to help refine and strengthen this guidance for undergraduate data science programs.
Your expertise and perspective are essential to ensuring the competencies reflect the evolving needs of the discipline.
The town hall will take place on Monday, March 16 at 11 am ET. Register at: https://bit.ly/DSTownhall
You may view a public version of the data science knowledge units at tinyurl.com/PublicDS2026
Feedback can be provided at tinyurl.com/feedbackDS2026.
We hope you will be able to join us, and please share this with your colleagues (a flyer is attached).
Regards, Donna
