The presentation will be given by RJ Andrews, who is the author of the Visual Revelations article in the September issue of CHANCE. RJ Andrews is a Data Storyteller and founder of Info We Trust (https://infowetrust.com/about). His work helps organizations (including government) solve problems by using visual metaphors and information graphics: charts, diagrams, and maps. He recently published Information Graphic Visionaries, which is a new book series from Visionary Press celebrating spectacular data visualization creators from history: Florence Nightingale, Emma Willard, and Etienne-Jules Marey. His first book is Info We Trust, How to Inspire the World with Data. This talk will focus on historical examples of data visualization, many of which use government data.
Feel free to share this opportunity with friends and colleagues.
