The ASA/IMS Spring Research Conference (SRC 2023) will take place in person in Banff center, Alberta, Canada during May 24 - 26, 2023. The SRC is the annual meeting of the Section on Physical and Engineering Statistics (SPES) of the American Statistical Association (ASA). Although historically emphasizing industrial statistics, design of experiments, quality and reliability, the meeting increasingly emphasizes modern methods on statistics, machine learning, data science, with diverse applications encompassing all areas of applied sciences. Call for Contributed Papers

An important objective of the SRC is to encourage student and junior researcher participation. The contributed program includes talks and posters (you may indicate preference). Contributed talks are essentially no different than the invited ones, except that the process is competitive rather than curated by the program committee. The deadline for application is February 15, 2023.

To submit a contributed paper for SRC 2023, please send a title and abstract to SRC program committee chair Prof. Tirthankar Dasgupta at td370@stat.rutgers.edu with the subject line "SRC 2023 Contributed".

Courtesy of our generous sponsors, we are able to offer some student travel scholarships. If you wish to be considered, please additionally provide a short statement of interest in the meeting (e.g., how would it benefit your study?), a CV/resume, and a note from your advisor (on letterhead) confirming your student status and explaining the nature of your role in the research you are proposing to present at the meeting. All funded students must contribute a talk or poster. The deadline for scholar application is February 15, 2023.
