On Tue/Wed June 21-22, CNSTAT is holding a workshop on the next major Census 2020 products, the Demographic and Housing Characteristics (DHC) files and, to some extent, the Detailed DHC file that is on a longer horizon. 

This workshop will provide opportunities for data users who rely on more detailed sociodemographic data to assess and understand the suitability of the DHC for a wide variety of use cases, including state and local planning, resource allocation, and monitoring demographic-related patterns of the U.S. population. Attention will be given to data equity and strategies to improve communication about these data products and their uses, in addition to exploring the implications of the new DAS in specific data analyses.
