Dear Colleagues,
The 2025 ICSA Applied Statistics Symposium will be held during June 15-18, 2025 at the University of Connecticut, Storrs, CT. The short courses are scheduled on Sunday, June 15, 2025. They offer instructors a unique platform to showcase their expertise, receive valuable feedback, connect with a diverse and engaged audience, and gain visibility within the statistics community. We welcome proposals on a variety of applied statistics and data science topics that appeal to both academic and industry participants. Please submit your proposal by December 15, 2024, at https://symposium2025.icsa.org/short-course-proposal/.
The following information is needed on the submission form:
- course title
- duration (half-day or full-day)
- category (e.g., methodology, career development, technology training, etc.)
- target audience
- prerequisites for participants
- computer and software requirements
- abstract (1500 characters max – a summary of the course for registration )
- teaching plan (an outline of the course, split into time segments)
- half-day courses should be planned with a 15-minute break after approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes of teaching
- full-day courses should be planned with 15-minute breaks in each half, after approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes of teaching
