Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to invite submissions to the HPC4EES Workshop (High-Performance Computing for Environmental and Earth Sciences), to be held in conjunction with the International Conference for High Performance Computing: Networking, Storage, and Analysis (SC26) in Chicago, IL, November 2026.
The HPC4EES workshop brings together researchers at the intersection of high-performance computing, AI/ML, statistics, and environmental and Earth sciences, with the goal of advancing scalable modeling, data-driven discovery, and next-generation scientific computing.
We welcome submissions addressing a broad range of topics, including (but not limited to):
• Large-scale weather and climate modeling and forecasting
• Earth-system modeling (ocean, atmosphere, hydrology, and coupled systems)
• Environmental and geophysical simulations, hazard prediction, and risk assessment
• Machine learning, AI, and statistical methods for Earth and environmental sciences
• Scalable numerical algorithms, uncertainty quantification, and HPC workflows
• Digital twins and emerging HPC technologies for environmental sustainability
Important Dates:
• Paper submission deadline: July 31, 2026 (AoE)
• Notification of acceptance: September 4, 2026
• Camera-ready submissions: September 25, 2026
We encourage contributions that highlight innovative methodologies, interdisciplinary applications, and impactful scientific advances using HPC for environmental and Earth system challenges.
