Dear ASA Community,
The 9th Annual New England Rare Disease Statistics (NERDS) Workshop invites paper and poster submissions for NERDS 2026, to be held October 8–9, 2026, at the Hyatt Regency Boston/Cambridge.
We welcome methodological research, applied work, and case studies related to rare disease research and drug development. Relevant topics include:
- Adaptive and Bayesian clinical trial designs
- Platform, basket, umbrella, and master protocol trials
- Real-world data and real-world evidence
- Artificial intelligence and machine learning
- Dose optimization and quantitative decision-making
- Digital health technologies and decentralized trials
- Genomics and precision medicine
- Pediatric and ultra-rare disease research
Submissions will be considered for the Student Poster Award, General Poster Award, and Paper Award competitions. Monetary prizes will be awarded to the top submissions, and selected paper finalists will be invited to present their work during the workshop.
Paper submission deadline: September 6, 2026
Poster submission deadline: October 4, 2026
