The American Statistical Association seeks nominations for speakers in the Dionne Price Public Lecture Series-a distinguished platform celebrating statistics and data science as catalysts for positive social change.
About the Series
This series honors Dionne Price's inspiring vision of our field as a force for public good, embodying her chosen theme: "One Community: Informing Decisions and Driving Discovery." As a passionate mentor throughout her career, Price championed emerging voices in statistics. In this spirit, the lecture series specifically aims to elevate statisticians and data scientists whose work advances public welfare.
What We're Looking For
Ideal candidates are early-career to mid-career professionals who:
- Demonstrate clear impact through statistical work that serves the public good
- Can engage diverse audiences with compelling storytelling about data and statistics
Audience & Format
Our lectures reach a broad community including students, educators, local residents, and professionals across sectors who want to learn more about the impact of statistics and data science.
The lecture will be presented in-person and livestreamed to ensure broad accessibility.

- Brief explanation of the nominee's work and why this person would be an excellent speaker
