    Title: "Overview of the DoD RAI Toolkit"

    Speaker: John Cronin

    Abstract: The Responsible Artificial Intelligence (RAI) Toolkit provides a voluntary process to identify, track, and improve alignment of AI projects to RAI best practices and the DoD AI Ethical Principles, while capitalizing on opportunities for innovation.

    Bio: John Cronin is White House Presidential Innovation Fellow (PIF) assigned to the U.S. Department of Defense, Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO)- Responsible AI (RAI) Division. He was most recently a product manager at Tembo Health, where he worked to create products that improved the lives of caregivers and patients impacted by dementia. Prior to his time at Tembo Health, John co-founded F3 Healthcare, which focused on addressing a root cause of the opioid crisis by using data to influence prescriber behavior. A longtime emergency and critical care nurse, John spent much of the COVID-19 pandemic working as a flight nurse for MEDEVAC Helicopter ExpressCare-1. John has also worked as a consultant advising senior leaders on operational improvements, digital transformations, and strategic growth. John holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) with a focus in Healthcare Management from Yale University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the Catholic University of America. He lives in Montgomery County, Maryland, with his wife and four children.
