JRC2018 - Joint Meeting of the Spring Research Conference and the Quality and Productivity Research Conference
Registration is now open for the 2018 Joint Research Conference on Statistics in Quality, This is a joint meeting of the 25th Spring Research Conference on Statistics in Industry and Technology and the 35th Quality and Productivity Research Conference. The theme of this year’s conference is The Art and Science of Statistics. The goal of this conference is to stimulate interdisciplinary research among statisticians, scientists, and engineers in physical and engineering sciences, quality and productivity, and industrial needs. This event is sponsored by the ASA Section on Quality and Productivity, the ASA Section on Physical & Engineering Sciences, the Institute of Mathematical Statistics, and local host Los Alamos National Laboratory.
The conference will honor Professor Max Morris from the Departments of Statistics, and Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering at Iowa State University. The Conference includes a tour and reception at the Los Alamos National Laboratory Bradbury Science Museum.
A separate-fee short course on “Bridging Statistics and Data Science” will be taught
by Dr. Ming Li from Amazon and Dr. Hui Lin from DowDuPont on Monday, June 11.
Abstracts for Papers and Posters are now being accepted. Paper and poster presenters will have the opportunity to submit a paper that will be reviewed and considered for publication in a Special Issue of Applied Stochastic Models in Business and Industry.
To encourage participation by students, we are providing opportunities to apply for student support to attend the conference.
Another option is the Mary Natrella Scholarships which provide both a scholarship grant and support to attend JRC2018.
