Questions on starting my Statistics Career

I had a couple of questions about how I should start my Statistics Career. I am interested in Data Mining and Quality Control, but I'd be willing to start in any field in order to get to my other fields of interest. I am just graduating from college with a B.A. in Statistics, and I plan on getting a Master's as well, but after I start my career.
So I just wanted to know what kind of job I should look for as a starting point? Are there starting positions available in these fields? If so what would be the name of them? Is it worth it to just get a job at some company doing anything in order to work my way up to the Statistics job I want?
Any advice would be helpful!

The great thing about statistics really is "that you get to play in everyone's backyard" (Tukey). If you want to earn $$$, target key industries (like pharmaceuticals). If you'd be happy making less, but in public service, look to gov't. http://www.usajobs.gov/ is a good place to hunt for fed jobs. Lots of other opportunities are out there.
Dropping your message here was a pretty good idea, too. Good luck!
