ASA DataFest 2026 @ Mizzou
ASA DataFest is an annual, nationwide competition for undergraduate students that challenges teams to analyze real-world big data provided by a well-known corporate sponsor. Participants gain hands-on experience in data analysis, collaboration, and communication—valuable skills for graduate study and the job market.

Virtual ASA Traveling Course: Data Visualization with Applications to the Life Sciences

The Mid-Missouri Chapter of the American Statistical Association invites you to join us on Saturday, October 4, 2025 for a Virtual Traveling Course: Data Visualization with Applications to the Life Sciences.

 

Led by Richard C. Zink, PhD, and Rebecca Lyzinski, MS, of JMP Statistical Discovery LLC, this full-day virtual course will provide practical training on effective data visualization to aid in the interpretation and communication of data from clinical trials and life science applications. Participants will gain hands-on experience with JMP software to create impactful visualizations that communicate scientific findings to diverse audiences.

Date: Saturday, October 4, 2025

Time: 8:00am-5:00pm (CDT) with lunch break (12:00-1:00pm)

Format: Virtual (Zoom)

Registration Deadline: October 2, 2025 at 11:59pm

Fees: Student: $20 | Academic (non-student): $35  | Non-academic: $45

(+ processing fee)

Software and Course Materials: All registrants will receive instructions for accessing JMP software during the week before the course. Course materials and the Zoom login details will be emailed on October 3, 2025.
