Welcome to anyone viewing the SIBSIG, Statistics in Business Schools (ASA) Interest Group site. I apologize that I am not a media-oriented Program Chair so I will begin with some simple announcements as we approach JSM 2016 in Chicago.
1. I encourage anyone who is interested in teaching statistics or analytics to business students to join our interest group and begin to share any and all ideas.
2. If you are attending JSM 2016, I encourage you to ask for a JSM section member ribbon. We are hoping to increase awareness for a small interest group and this may help initiate a conversation about the sections and interest groups you are a member of.
3. Please check out the numerous sessions/panels/roundtables that are sponsored by SIBSIG. The topics are varied but generally all involve practices in teaching statistics to business students.
4. PLEASE attend our (free) annual business meeting scheduled for Tuesday Aug 2, 2016 from 4-5 in Room CC-N129, McCormick Place Convention Center North Building. And bring friends!
I am looking forward to seeing old friends and colleagues and meeting new members.
