Dear Wisconsin Chapter members,
Due to the ongoing pandemic, we will be unable to hold our annual meeting this year.
In order to provide a service to our members this year, we are announcing a JSM virtual travel
award competition for those with accepted abstracts to present a paper or poster. All PhD
students at Wisconsin colleges and universities are eligible: 6 awards for papers and 2 for
posters receiving the registration fee of $40 each. And new researchers within 5 years of
their PhD are eligible if they are current members of the Wisconsin Chapter: 3 awards for
papers and 1 for posters receiving the registration fee of $185 each.
For those willing to enter the competition, please send us a copy of your abstract and it's
JSM confirmation email (which has the type of presentation on it, i.e., either paper or
poster). Send those to our Secretary Elizabeth Smith at wisconsin.asa@wi.rr.com by
June 9 after which evaluations of your abstracts will commence. Please feel free to
forward this information to your students.
