    Dear Wisconsin statistics community,

    The Wisconsin Chapter of the American Statistical Association is organizing a poster competition on research related to statistics and data science. The event will be held 5-7pm on Friday, November 22, in Room 133 in the Service Memorial Institute on the University of Wisconsin–Madison campus. Food and poster prizes will be provided.

    If you would like to present your research on statistics and data science at the event, please apply by providing your presentation title and abstract on the registration form. The deadline for registration and applying to present is October 9.

    Hello,

    I hope this message finds you well. My name is Dulanjalee Devage Dona, and I am an assistant professor at the UW-Whitewater and a member of the ASA Wisconsin Section.

    One of my students has expressed a strong interest in participating in the upcoming poster competition. However, the student is not currently a member of the ASA. I would like to inquire if it is possible for my student to register and participate in the competition without membership, and if so, whether the registration fee is waived or there are any specific requirements.

    I would greatly appreciate any information or guidance you could provide on this matter.

    Yes -- registration and participation in the poster session is open to and free for everyone! You do not need to be a member of the chapter (or the ASA) to attend or present a poster.
