The group needs to elect officers that will ensure continuous and smooth operation of the group:
- Chair elect (to become chair next year)
- Program chair (to help manage the program at the JSM, and potentially at other ASA conferences)
- Secretary/treasurer (to keep notes at meetings, and manage the limited funds that the group has)
At the JSM meeting, we also discussed the possibility to add offices of the publication/ASA microsite coordinator; and student representative. To get them added properly, we would need to modify the charter... which is an entirely separate conversation, but we can probably vote on that at the same time as we elect the officers.

2. Position you want to run for
3. Brief statement (~5 sentences) what makes you qualified / why you are interested / what you are bringing to the table.
