Input Requested for ASA Science Policy Work in 2025

Do you see opportunities where statistical expertise could enhance public discourse or policy decisions? Are there pressing issues you believe the ASA should address? We want to hear from you.

The ASA science policy office works to raise the profile of statistics and statisticians in policymaking and advocates for statisticians' and data scientists' interests. Our work has spanned diverse areas including data literacy, election integrity, forensic science, and climate change, with consistent focus on supporting federal statistics.

To share your ideas or learn more about ASA’s work, please:

Your input will help shape the ASA's science policy priorities and initiatives for 2025 and beyond.

More broadly, if you’d like to request that the ASA Board of Directors issue a policy statement, please see this document outlining the process.
