Title: Time series analysis when you don’t know the times.
Description: The collection of time series data usually goes something like this: (1) Get a good watch; (2) Get your recording device; (3) Every second (or day, or millisecond, …) take a measurement. The data are time/observation pairs in which we generally assume that the times are equally spaced and known exactly. Most methods for time series analysis rely on these assumptions. In this talk I will describe a case in which neither of these assumptions hold, and outline my approach for carrying on with time series analysis anyway.
