Established in the 1970s, the purpose of the New Jersey Chapter is to foster statistics and its applications in the broadest manner and promote unity and effectiveness of effort among all individuals and groups in the New Jersey area having an interest in, or being concerned with, statistical problems. The activities of the chapter are directed toward contributing to the development of statistical and scientific knowledge and providing statistical support in public interest matters.
