    Dear ASA Members.

The White House Office of Management Budget is requesting input on Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) revisions, which it does every decade: https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2024/06/12/2024-12825/statistical-policy-directive-no-10-standard-occupational-classification-soc-request-for-comments-on.

If you would like to recommend the ASA comment on statistician and data scientist, please email me with your specific recommendations. I paste below the current descriptions as well as those in the same category. You are also welcome to suggest comments on other classifications.

Comments are due just after JSM so please provide me your comments by July 17: pierson@amstat.org

    Best,

    Steve
