    The primary goal of the
    4th International Conference on Big Data and Information Analytics (BigDIA2018) (https://sph.uth.edu/divisions/biostatistics/bigdia/) is to promote interactions and collaborations among all scientists, researchers and practitioners who develop data science theories, algorithms and methods to deal with and analyze Big Data from different perspectives such as computer science, statistics, engineering, informatics, mathematics and other quantitative/computational sciences as well as domain-specific disciplines.


    THEMES AND TOPICS
    include but are not limited to:

    • Fundamental theories for Big Data analytics
    • Statistical theories for Big Data
    • Computer science theories for Big Data
    • Mathematical theories for Big Data
    • Big Data computing: Architecture, database, algorithm, platform, visualization
    • Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Big Data
    • Application areas: EHR and health care Big Data; Bioinformatics; Imaging data; Precision medicine; Big Data prediction and decision-support systems; Finance and economics; Wearable or mobile device data; and Internet business


    CALL FOR ABSTRACT AND PAPER SUBMISSION

    Authors are kindly requested to submit an abstract of approximately 300 words in English via the online submission system (https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=bigdia2018). Submission implies willingness of at least one author to register and present at the conference. Authors of abstracts will be scheduled to present your paper in the invited, contributed or poster sessions at the conference. Trainees are encouraged to present at the poster session and participate in the poster award competition. A limited number of travel support is also available.

    Moreover, all authors are also encouraged to submit a short paper (up to 6 pages) of original research for peer review and the accepted papers will be published in the IEEE proceeding. High-quality papers will be also invited and recommended to submit a full-length version of the paper for publication in special issues (after further peer review) of IEEE journals, Big Data & Information Analytics (http://aimsciences.org/journal/2380-6966/editorialboard) and Infectious Disease Modeling http://www.keaipublishing.com/en/journals/infectious-disease-modelling/.
