A free webinar from our friends at The Effective Statistician.

Were you ever involved in a conflict at work, where you withdraw from it without really solving it?
Did you feel, that you needed to choose between maintaining the relationship and addressing the problem at hand?
Did you avoid entering into a discussion for the fear of conflict?

If you answered "Yes" to any of these questions, then you are not alone. Managing conflict is one of the more important and challenging areas for any emerging leader, including statisticians.

Actually, one of our top requests for insight and training is the topic of successfully managing conflict. At a recent workshop for statistical leaders across Europe, this topic was also stressed as being an important part of leading effectively.

    Managing conflict poorly results in:

Lack of trust and damaged relationships
Ineffective teams and frustrated team members
    Poor decision-making
    Performance issues and stalled careers

Join our 1-hour webinar to become better at managing conflict. It's free and takes place on August 20th, 5pm (Berlin), 4pm (London), 11am (New York), 8am (San Francisco). Sign up here.

    Thanks,
    Richard

A lot depends on whom the conflict is with.  Is he or she above you on the "chain of command"?  Is he or she open or close minded?  Is it with of person of integrity?  Which of you has more expertise in the subject?
