Dear All,
Through our PR campaign This is Statistics (TiS), we'd like to provide guidance this fall to science fair students to improve their projects through attention to statistics. Thanks to several members in a few chapters, we have a great start at this Google Doc: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1NLRwJ09YSd2R7SCPG4Lzmlpt5vPaSg0TyRYSrJPaZKU/edit#. We'd welcome more comments if you have any to provide.
If your chapter is willing to be contacted for science fair mentoring/advice, please add your chapter's contact in the document.
The document is not meant to be a final product necessarily but rather to be a resource for those writing an advice blog post for This is Statistics. Still, we'd like to keep the document as organized and coherent as possible should we decide to turn it into a more complete guidance document.
Since I'm writing, here are some of the recent Amstat News pieces about the involvement of chapters in science fairs:
Thank you!
Steve
