    Please share the below with high school seniors or first/second year undergraduate students!

    On behalf of the NESS, we are happy to share with you the NESS NextGen scholarships for underrepresented minorities in statistics and data science. The purpose of these scholarships is to advance the representation of underrepresented groups in statistics and data science by supporting graduating high school seniors and first/second-year undergraduate students who are interested in pursuing a career in statistics and/or data science.

    Eligibility:

    • Graduating high school senior or first/second-year undergraduate student

    • Black, Indigenous or Person of Color (BIPOC)

    • Will be enrolled in a U.S. college or university for the upcoming 2023-2024 academic year.

    • Shows a genuine interest in statistics and data science through coursework, extracurricular activities, and/or future goals

    A priority will be given for students who are eligible for a Federal Pell Grant Program (for more information, please see this information page from the U.S. Department of Education).

    Deadline: April 1, 2023

    Amount: at least $1,000
