College of Business at Oregon State University in Corvallis, OR invites applicants for an anticipated full-time (1.0 FTE), nine-month, Instructor – Analytics/Statistics position to begin in March 2017.
Primary teaching duties are in business analytics and statistics. There are reduced expectations of scholarly accomplishments as compared to tenure-track positions since this is a non-tenure track position. For <g class="gr_ gr_99 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_run_anim Punctuation multiReplace" id="99" data-gr-id="99">PhD</g> candidates, there is an expectation of management-oriented consulting practices that lead to articles and/or case studies that are published in academic and practitioner journals across a spectrum of business disciplines. Service to the College, University, and profession are also expected.

Required qualifications include a master's degree in business analytics, data analytics, management science, operations research, information systems, research methods, statistics, or related field; evidence of industry experience; and college level teaching experience with indicators of effectiveness and having a demonstrable strong commitment <g class="gr_ gr_95 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_run_anim Grammar multiReplace" id="95" data-gr-id="95">of</g> excellence in teaching business analytics and statistics courses at the undergraduate and MBA levels, including teaching in the online environment. Preferred qualifications include a <g class="gr_ gr_97 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_run_anim Punctuation multiReplace" id="97" data-gr-id="97">PhD</g> in business analytics, data analytics, management science, operations research, information systems, research methods, statistics, or related field, experience using R, Python and Tableau,and a demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.
