    Seeking Open-Rank, Tenure-Track Faculty with Expertise in Biomedical
    Data Mining and Analytics

    The Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics (EPBI) at Case Western
    Reserve University School of Medicine seeks to fill a tenure-track or
    tenured position at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor
    level with an individual with expertise in biostatistics,
    bioinformatics, or quantitative health sciences. The successful
    applicant will develop an independent research program that applies
    biostatistic and/or bioinformatic methodology to the context of big data
    and health. The candidate may also have an appointment in the Institute
    for Computational Biology (http://www.icompbio.net/). The areas of focus
    are related to big data, including but not limited to machine learning,
    data mining, precision medicine, data linkage and integration, health
    informatics, and computational biology. Preference will be given to
    individuals who can use and integrate different types of data (e.g.,
    electronic health record, environmental, geospatial, population,
    genomic, imaging).

    Applicants should have an earned doctorate in Biostatistics,
    Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or related field with considerable
    experience and interest in working in a collaborative academic health
    care setting, evidence of collaboration within and across disciplines
    and sectors, a commitment to excellence in teaching and advising
    graduate students, and a track record of scholarly research including
    peer-reviewed publications and external funding commensurate with rank.
    Academic rank will be determined by the candidate's qualifications and
    experience.
