To flag a post as inappropriate (which will place the post in the ASA Community moderation queue for review by ASA staff):
Via email:
- Click on "Flag as Inappropriate" directly below the post you wish to report. You will be taken to the ASA Community website.
- In the "Reason for Moderation" box that appears, type your reason for marking the post as inappropriate. You may want to refer to the ASA Community Code of Conduct for reference when articulating your reasons.
- Click on the blue "Submit" button at the bottom of the "Reason for Moderation" box. The post has now been sent to the moderation queue for review. ASA staff will review the post as soon as possible. Posts that are in the moderation queue will no longer be visible on the ASA Community website and will not go out in any future emails. The post will be compared against the Code of Conduct and either approved for publication (in which case, it becomes public on the website again and will go out in future emails) or declined. If you flag a post as inappropriate, please note that the ASA will never share your identity with the individual who made the post you flagged.
