    Dear CAS,

Thank you for an excellent meeting at ASA headquarters on Oct 6!  We had a very productive discussion and came away with many new ideas.  Apologies that I have not circulated minutes yet.

For those unable to attend we spent a significant portion of the meeting talking about the Member's Initiative.  We also had a tutorial from Amy Farris about using the community, creating a 'friends' community, nominating a Fellow, and partnering with other ASA sections/committees.

We agreed to meet for our regular October TC which is this Wednesday, Oct 19 at noon EST.  Agenda topics to include * master's notebook - we need articles!, * traffic light tool - see attached, please be prepared to comment, * Fellows - Barbara to check VA, Mark to check gov't, Marlene to check Utah pharma

    TC details as always:

    Toll Free Number:

    (800) 250-2600

    US Toll Number:

    (212) 381-2929

    Participant PIN:

    828606

Recall our homework assignments, due Nov 1:
Marlene and Erin - identify 4-6 sections or committees(?) to highlight in member's initiative
Amarjot and Mark - draft criteria for videos - short and sweet
Jack and Barbara - draft proposal
Jennifer and Greg - guesstime cost (how much is needed for initiative)

    More soon!
    Jennifer

    Dear CAS,

    1. Jennifer, I think I was equally responsible for the meeting minutes, I finally wrote up my version of them and added them to the community site.  Please let me know if I/we should make changes.

    2. unfortunately, I will not be able to attend tomorrow's meeting.  I have a work related event and am a little too new to ask for a pass to join our meeting.

    3. I will provide my updates and comments/suggestions for tomorrow's meeting sometime tonight via e-mail.

Here's hoping that next month is a better schedule as I'm definitely committed to the committee and the monthly meetings - but have been subject to bad timing as of late.
