I won't be able to make the call today. I'm in Tanzania helping to create a statistical collaboration laboratory at the Sokoine University of Agriculture. I thought I would be able to call in using my computer, but the internet is too slow.
Comments on the agenda:
1. We need to send out a survey to the mentoring participants like we said we would in the proposal. Jennifer Gauvin is scheduled to talk about the results of the survey (really a feedback form rather than a survey as we're not trying to sample anyone) at the panel discussion on mentoring at the Conference on Statistical Practice in February 2014.
2. I'll have an article for the Master's notebook for February. One of my students will write a great article.
3. I mentioned CAS in the cover article of the November Amstat News. That can be added to the list of accomplishments.
