The B&E Section is pleased to announce the winners of the 2020 B&E Statistics Section student paper awards:
- Shaymal Halder, Auburn University: "Smoothed LSDV Estimation of Functional-Coefficient Panel Data Models with Two-Way Fixed Effects"
- Evan Rosenman, Stanford University: "Optimized Partial Identification Bounds for Regression Discontinuity Designs with Manipulation"
- Ken Wang, UC Davis: "High Order Adjusted Block-wise Empirical Likelihood For Weakly Dependent Data"
- Michael Weylandt, Rice University: "Multivariate Modeling of Natural Gas Spot Trading Hubs Incorporating Futures Market Realized Volatility"
The selection process was highly competitive: we received 13 submissions, many of which were exceptional. The four award winners will present at JSM 2020 in Philadelphia in a Topic-Contributed section, Winners: Business and Economic Statistics Student Paper Awards, sponsored by the B&E Statistics Section.
